Becky and Layla Collage Say hello to our special pets of the week! Just like last week, each pet here has had their adoption fee either sponsored or waived! Meet Becky and Layla, a bonded pair of three-year-old cocker spaniels, Nico, a one-year-old male black cat who loves to play, and Zeus, a handsome brown and white male rat who would like to be the only rat in the home.

Becky and Layla are both white Cocker Spaniels who are three years old! These two beauties have been together since they were born, and are a bonded pair. Becky and Layla need to find their forever home together! As cute as they are, these two spaniels don’t like sharing the attention with any other furry friends; be they other dogs, cats, or small mammals. Becky and Layla will need a home where they are the only pets. Would you like to meet these soft and fluffy pups? Their fee has been sponsored by several generous community members who want to help them find their perfect home. Come meet them today!

Nico is a one-year-old male black cat who would love to meet you! Nico comes up to greet you, meows to say hi, and he greatly enjoys neck scratchies. This handsome fellow is very active and energetic, however, and may do best in a home with no young children. Nico enjoys hunting and playing, and previously has mistaken stray cords or napkins for toys and has destroyed them. He will need an environment where stray items are kept out of his grasp. The good news is that “destructive” behavior in a cat can often be easily combated and remedied by providing said cat with ample exercise and play time! All Nico needs is you, and his adoption fee has been waived! What’s stopping you?

Zeus is a one-year-old male rat who has brown and white markings! This big guy would love a big enclosure to run around in and some people to play with. While rats are normally social creatures, Zeus actually doesn’t get along well with other male rats, and should be housed separately from any other rodent friends in order to prevent fighting. Rats can have a bad reputation, but they like to groom themselves and organize things in their cage in order to stay tidy. They are friendly and fun little pets! Do you think Zeus sounds like the right pet for your family? Swing by and see him today! His adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous member of our community.

Thank you for reading about this week’s featured pets! It is only through the generosity of people like you that we are able to sponsor and waive fees for animals. If you ever fall in love with a pet, but cannot adopt them, consider donating to cover part or all of their adoption fee! This helps animals find their forever homes; plus, it allows their future owners to spend more money on spoiling their new furry family member!
