Welcome to Pets of the Week! This week’s lineup includes Jax, an eight-year-old female German Shepherd that needs some patience and care for her eye condition, Skittles, a ten-year-old female cat that is just looking for a lap to curl up on, and Monet, a rat with a fancy name and two rat friends that he would love to bring with him to his forever home.
Let’s begin with Jax, who is an eight-year-old German Shepherd. This pretty lady is a little fearful, especially around other dogs, so she needs to be the only dog in the house. She would do best in a quiet family with no young children so she can adjust to her new forever home. Additionally, Jax has an eye condition that will need to be monitored throughout her life—luckily, though, it can be easily treated with eye drops! Can you be her hero? Swing by and meet her today—she can go home with you for $100.
Next we have Skittles, who is just as sweet as her name! This ten-year-old black and white shorthair loves people, and is getting to enjoy the company of other cats, too. Although she was a bit hesitant of feline friends in the beginning, she is slowly gaining confidence in a cat colony here at the shelter. If you are looking for a super sweet snuggler, Skittles might be the cat for you! Her adoption fee has been sponsored, so all she needs is a home!
Finally, Monet is a black and white male rat that could really use some love and attention. This poor little guy was abandoned along with his friends, Picasso and Van Gogh, so we don’t know how old he is. What we do know is that Monet would really like some human friends, too! Rats are social, smart pets that can bond with their owners and even learn tricks! If you’ve been wanting a smaller pet (or maybe 3!), Monet might be the match! His adoption fee is $10, or $20 for him and both of his friends.
