Catherine Sayers



Catherine C. Sayers joined Larimer Humane Society’s Board of Directors in June 2013.

She currently serves as the Director of Clinical Operations for Pinnacle III, a position she’s held since February 2001. As Director of Clinical Operations, Catherine develops and manages Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) in Colorado and Connecticut.  She is responsible for overseeing all business, financial and clinical operations of her clients.

Pam Jones

Pam JonesVice Chariperson

Pam Jones joned the Board of Directors for Larimer Humane Society in June 2014. She currently is the Executive Director of Advancement for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences for Colorado State University. Jones has decades of experience in marketing, public relations, strategic planning, budget development, advancement and fundraising.

Ben Kramer

Ben Kramer has been a member of the Board of Directors for Larimer Humane since April, 2016. He is an attorney with Gast Johnson & Muffly, P.C., practicing in the areas of real estate, business law and estate planning. In addition, Ben is the Treasurer of the Young Lawyers Section of the Larimer Bar Association and is a past team member of the Journey of Hope cycling team.

Susan Shattauck

Susan Shattuck returned the board as Treasurer in October 2016. Susan brings experience as board Treasurer for the Artists’ Association for Northern Colorado, as well as 16 years of volunteer experience with Larimer Humane Society. Susan has a strong passion for animal welfare and wants to help give animals a voice in the community.

Paul joined the board as a member in March 2017. Paul is a commercial banker with skills in budgeting, financial planning, and management. Paul is excited about contributing to the well-being of Larimer County’s animals. He’s energized about educating citizens on what’s best for their pets and what resources Larimer Humane Society provides.

Bret Ellis


Bret Ellis is the Chairperson for the Board of Directors for Larimer Humane Society; he joined the Board in November 2011. Ellis is an internal auditor for the Colorado State University System, and is responsible for reviewing financial and operating procedures and internal controls for many diverse units on the Fort Collins campus.

Kathy Kregel

Kathy Kregel joined the board in February 2017, as the new member. Kathy has spent 20 years designing, developing, and operating three non-profits. She also has memberships in numerous animal and business organizations. Kathy is passionate about combining her life-long love of animals with her organizational management skills to provide good lives for Larimer County’s animals.

Timiry McCaskell


In addition to being a leader in the Colorado wedding industry, Timiry came to us with prior nonprofit leadership experience, having served on the boards for Partners Mentoring Youth and the Junior League of Fort Collins.

Angie Penland


Angie Penland is the Board of Directors Secretary for Larimer Humane Society. She joined the Board of Directors in July 2011. Penland is a Vice President of Branch Banking at First National Bank, a company she’s been working with for 13 years. Within her job, Penland is responsible for managing all of the personal bankers and tellers in both the retail and drive-up portions of her branch.

Jeff Williams


Jeff decided to become a Larimer Humane Society board member so that he could give back to the community through his love of animals.

“I have had many cats and dogs over the years, and currently have a rescue dog named Willie,” he says.
