From March 6 through March 22, there will be a closure on the same road as our shelter. County Road 30/E. 71st Street will be closed east of Larimer Humane Society from Golden Eagle Drive to the frontage road. If you are coming from the east/frontage road, there is access using detours via Rockwell Avenue and Rickenbacker Road. Access from the west by way of CR 9 Boyd Road is unobstructed. The Colorado Department of Agriculture is reporting cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in wild birds. Officials are asking all poultry and bird owners to increase their biosecurity practices to keep the disease out of domestic poultry in Colorado.
