Share your love for that perfect pooch or cuddly kitty this Valentine's Day with the gift of a Larimer Humane Society "Paw-lentine for Pets" and help support animals who are still looking for the true love of a forever home. Now through Feb. 14, you can honor your own beloved companion(s), donate in memory of a favorite pet from your past, pay tribute to a friend's or family member's animal, or simply support one of the homeless, ill, injured, or abused animals awaiting a home and a person to love.
For every donation of $15 or more, your Paw-lentine will receive a personalized heart displayed in Larimer Humane Society's shelter lobby through Feb. 29, plus a photo of your Paw-lentine added to Larimer Humane Society's Paw-lentines for Pets Facebook album (a staff member or volunteer will contact you for an electronic photo).
Paw-lentine donors of $25+ will also receive a sweet dog treat provided by Bones du Jour or a cat treat courtesy of Poudre Pet & Feed Supply.
For memorial donations, or donations to other animals or people, a copy of the 2012, 12 of 12,000 - A Celebration of Second Chances wall calendar will be sent instead. Paw-lentine gifts will be mailed on Feb. 10 to arrive at their intended destinations in time for Valentine's Day. Gifts for donations made after Feb. 10 at 5pm will be mailed as soon as possible following the donation.
