Happy Tails
 Three weeks ago I adopted Vern (aka Chincho) from LHS. He is a tiny chihuahua that had just had many teeth pulled prior to adoption. Thanks to you, Vern has gained a pound, and is starting to play. He is painfully shy, but even that is beginning to change. I think he is a happy boy now, and I am sure a happy chi mom. Thank you!

 Happy holidays from a happy hound!
I was adopted on March 29, 2008 when my name was "Monty". When I got to my new home, my new mom named me "Chailey", but she calls me "sweetiepie" and "honey" a lot too. I don't know if you recognize me now, since I gained 10 pounds since I was adopted. I don't mean to brag, but I am really buff now. I wanted to wish everyone at Larimer Humane Society happy holidays! Here is what I've been doing this year:
We went hiking and camping in the mountains and found a lot of nice lakes. I discovered that there are fish in the water sometimes, so now I look for them whenever we find a lake. I like camping; I get to sleep in the tent, and I even have my own warm sleeping vest since it gets kind of cold up there. When we stayed home in Denver I helped keep the 3 cats in line. They would get into a lot of trouble if it weren't for me! Also, I got a weekend job! I fetch the newspaper on the porch and give it to mom, and then I get to have breakfast! And at night I get to sleep in a big cozy dog bed right next to my very best friend in the whole world. I just saw today that we have a christmas tree in the house and I'm really excited to see what I get in my stocking this year. Maybe peanut butter! I've been good, but the best present ever was getting to finally come home. My mom tells me all the time that I am the best and the sweetest dog ever, and that I have a home with her forever and ever. Thanks to Larimer Humane Society for taking care of me and putting my picture on the internet so my mom could find me!
