Major Obective

Assist the Development Team with fundraising events through occupation of chair positions or day-of assistance at locations both on and off-site.

  • Event planning and preparation through committee meetings (dependent upon position)
  • Focused tasks dependent on event and committee position
  • Presentation of the Larimer Humane Society in a positive and professional manner while conducting volunteer tasks
  • Event promotion throughout the Northern Colorado community
  • Ability to work within a specified budget and timeline
  • Desire to work with event vendors, sponsors, donors and/or other volunteers to accomplish specific event-related tasks

Training

  • Attend Volunteer Orientation and complete a Volunteer Profile
  • Interview with Special Events Coordinator or other member of Development Team
  • Attend LHS 101 training class
  • Program training with Development Team as needed

Commitment

Variable depending on project as well as position agreed upon.  All time commitments discussed prior to acceptance of position. All Special Event volunteers must be at least 18 years or age or older. 

Volunteer Profile

Detail-oriented, professional, quick-learning individual.  Good communication skills.  Ability to travel to off-site locations and attend weekend and after-hours meetings/events.  Email access required.

Overseen by the Special Events Coordinator and/or members of the Development Team
