This little guy is so neat and lovey, just what I needed after loosing my beagle Sam the end of June, thought no more dogs etc. and that was the 27th of June and Chip was here the 11th of July, I have had him for 7 months now, he is just such a well behaved and well trained dog for sure. Pretty darn good for a "second hand" dog!! Thanks!! Have a great day!!!

Three weeks ago I adopted Vern (aka Chincho) from LHS. He is a tiny chihuahua that had just had many teeth pulled prior to adoption. Thanks to you, Vern has gained a pound, and is starting to play. He is painfully shy, but even that is beginning to change. I think he is a happy boy now, and I am sure a happy chi mom. Thank you!

The day before Christmas Eve my border collie and I were on the south end of town and decided to stop by LHS. I came across Tally, a "who knows what" mix and we brought her home to our ranch. She may as well have been with us forever. Right from the start she herds the cattle perfectly, she trailrides with me, the horses, and her best friend the border collie, she runs and keeps track of the perimeter of the property, and loves on all the children who come for riding lessons. With only very minimal training she has learned a host of "party tricks" and all her obedience commands. I could not have asked for an easier transition to ranch life for her, and to top it all off - she loves her baths and is an absolute couch potato in the house. Thank you for such a wonderful dog!

I adopted Dante in August of 2009. I went in looking around for a companion for the dog I already owned and when I came upon Dante, I knew I had to take him home. He got along great with my dog Lucky during the meet and greet and since then they have been inseparable. Although Dante had some separation anxiety, we have worked through it and he has been an amazing dog. I cannot imagine my life without him today.

I just wanted to let you know that we adopted Aries, a German shepard a week and a half ago. I feel like we have had Aries all his life. He is the most handsome, intelligent, loving animal a family could hope for. We love him so much and are so greatful we were able to adopt him. He was meant to be part of our family.
Thank you so much

I adopted Macey in August, 2008 when she was 2 months. I could not have found a better puppy. She is now the head of the household and does a wonderful job of running it. She is so loving and sweet and never fails to make me laugh with her silly antics, yet she is also very loyal and protective. She loves her 2 brothers who are also rescue dogs. Playing ball is her favorite thing, and I have never seen her wear out. I feel so lucky to get to be the one to share her life, and she could not possibly be more loved! Thank you LHS for giving me my beautiful Macey.
