Through a contractual agreement, Larimer Humane Society provides animal control services for Fort Collins, Loveland, Unincorporated Larimer County, Wellington, Timnath and Berthoud. Our contract for service includes providing the Animal Protection & Control Officers, transportation, a licensed animal shelter and trained animal welfare staff as well as caring for the stray animals found in these communities. Animal Protection & Control Officers provide a valuable public safety service by keeping our community safe from agressive animals and enforcing animal ordinances. In 2008 Animal Protection & Control personnel responded to 24,572 calls for service.
