Adoption Tails
Dear Larimer Humane Society!
I wanted to fill you in on what a wonderful addition Dakota has been to my and my loved ones lives! I adopted him about 6 months ago and life has been better ever since! He’s the sweetest cat I have ever met…and many of my friends and family feel the same. He’s pretty amazing athletically-super jumper and catcher. Dakota likes other animals too. He’s the most well rounded pet I have ever had! We love him so much! Thanks so much! Tosca H.

Keep Your Dog Safe During the Summer |
While a good “kraack” or “boom” may have been good while Batman was taking down the Joker, such startling sounds are no joke for your dog. Firecrackers, thunder, and other loud, unexpected sounds often leave dogs frightened and wanting to flee to a safer place. These types of fears may develop even though your dog has had no traumatic experiences associated with the sound. The good news is that many fear-related problems can be successfully resolved. If left untreated, however, your dog’s fearful behavior will probably get worse. Read more information on preparing your dog for the sounds of summer!
