Sammy’s family came to Larimer Humane Society in search of a large, mixed-breed, older dog that was well house-trained and past the chewing stage. Sammy didn’t fit the bill, but they fell in love with him. They loved his enthusiasm as he happily ran to the front of his dog run to greet them. They were drawn to his gummy face and barrel-shaped body. And when they got a chance to play with him, he licked them right away. Looking back, that was the point of no return, and they brought him home the next day.
