Summer 2019 Critter Camp
What is Critter Camp?
Critter Camp is a five-day humane education camp that is designed to teach children about the responsible care and treatment of animals. Hands-on activities include visits with shelter animals and staff, informative lessons about responsible pet ownership and dog safety, fun animal crafts and service projects, exploration of key issues in animal welfare and the role of Larimer Humane Society in the local community, and a brainstorm of ways that young people can make a difference in the lives of animals who need their help.
Who Can Attend?
The June, July and August Critter Camps are designed for 7 to 9-year-olds and one of the the July Critter Camp is designed for 10 to 12-year-olds. Due to space limitations at our facility, enrollment is limited to 12 students per Critter Camp. Priority will be given to those children who have not previously attended a weeklong Larimer Humane Society Kids Camp before. Spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-registered basis. Payment must be received at the time of registration to confirm a spot for your child.
