Ginger Charvat
Title: Licensing Supervisor
Ginger Charvat is the Licensing Supervisor for Larimer Humane Society. As the shelter’s longest tenured employee, Ginger has been lending her expertise to the shelter since 1985. In her current role as Licensing Supervisor, Ginger is responsible for overseeing the daily tactics associated with selling and renewing animal licenses in Larimer County. Ginger, in conjunction with a talented team of licensing assistants, works with local veterinarians, the shelter’s client services representatives, and the general public to ensure that all dogs throughout Larimer County and cats in Fort Collins, Loveland and Wellington have a silver license tag. It is their ‘ticket home’ in the event that they ever wander away.
Ginger has played a role in several shelter departments throughout her 26-year career with Larimer Humane Society. She started out as the shelter’s receptionist and dispatcher within the Animal Protection & Control Department and eventually ‘found her ticket home’ in the licensing department.
She is proud of Larimer Humane Society’s efforts to end animal suffering and neglect, and is excited to see the thousands of homeless, stray, ill, injured and orphaned wild and domestic animals find compassionate homes or return to their native habitats.
