Title: Director of FinanceBrenda Andersen is the Director of Finance for Larimer Humane Society. An employee of the shelter since 1999, Brenda uses her 20-plus years of experience in finance and accounting to implement the long- and short-term financial policies and procedures necessary for maintaining the financial health of the organization. She designs the shelter’s financial controls, reports on financial results, and manages Larimer Humane Society’s assets and liabilities.
Prior to joining Larimer Humane Society, Brenda served as a staff accountant at National PetCare Centers in Fort Collins where she oversaw the preparation of financial statements for 22 veterinary clinics throughout Iowa, Oklahoma, Colorado and Arizona. Before moving to Colorado, Brenda served as a financial analyst with SECOR International in Bellevue, Washington, where she oversaw the preparation of financial statements for 45 field offices as well as the company’s corporate headquarters.
Brenda is proud to put her vast accounting/finance skills to use in working for a non-profit like Larimer Humane Society. An advocate of the shelter’s open-door philosophy, she is excited to work for an organization that offers shelter for animals that would otherwise have no chance at finding a loving home.
A resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, Brenda lives at home with her husband Steve and “presidents” Jackson and Wilson, two five-year-old English Cocker Spaniels.
