Angie Penland is a member of the Board of Directors for Larimer Humane Society. She joined the Board of Directors in July 2011. Penland is a VP Branch Manager at First National Bank, a company she’s been working with for ten years. Within her job, Penland is responsible for managing all of the personal bankers and tellers in both the retail and drive-up portions of her branch. She makes sure the branch runs smoothly by handling staff interactions and providing customer service. Penland also ensures the profitability and growth of the branch.

Prior to her career in bank management, Penland attended the University of North Dakota where she graduated sum sum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time at the University of North Dakota, Penland worked as the assistant manager of a retail store.

In 2007 Penland adopted a malnourished stray cat from Larimer Humane Society and named her Zoey.  The adoption of Zoey, along with Penland’s passion for animal welfare, gave her the push to join the Larimer Humane Board of Directors. Penland’s main priority as a member of the board is to stop animal abuse and neglect.

Penland currently lives in Larimer County with her husband, Zach, and their two domestic cats, Zoey and Rasputin. In her free time Penland loves to read and write.  Penland recently finished her first novel, a “coming-of-age” story about a young woman with supernatural powers. This is the first of a series Penland is writing.
