Director of Development and Community Relations
Full Time (40 hrs), Exempt, Salary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development and Community Relations for Larimer Humane Society is responsible for strategic direction and overall management of the Development and Community Relations group.  This includes providing director level guidance for development, special events, community outreach, marketing and public relations, and volunteer programs and humane education.  Directs activities of the group and provides leadership to promote Larimer Humane Society in the community and to ensure a broad base of funding resources.  Directs and personally manages existing or future capital, endowment or other strategic major donor campaigns in collaboration with Executive Director, Board of Directors and staff.  Ensures the division’s work is carried out in keeping with Larimer Humane Society’s mission, vision and strategic goals.  Responsible for division level budget management.  Limited relocation assistance may be available.  
Salary may be negotiable commensurate with experience.  Closes June 15, 2015 or when filled.

Animal Protection and Control Officer
Full Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Larimer Humane Society is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Animal Protection and Control (APC) Officer. The Society’s APC positions are full-time, 40 hour per week, jobs responsible for enforcing State, County and City codes and ordinances governing animal control functions (e.g. field enforcement, licensing, animals at large, animal bite investigations, etc.) and includes animal handling and constraint. The positions also perform the duties of an Animal Control Dispatcher.  Officers represent the organization in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This position requires learning a wide range of policies, procedures and processes quickly and includes a significant amount of field work and animal handling.  Minimum of one year animal care, welfare and/or handling in a professional position.  Proven clerical and math skills required.  Must be able to read and interpret ordinances, prioritize duties and multi-task within a busy work environment.  Ability to relate information to the public and officers in a concise, clear manner required as is the ability to work in direct contact with aggressive, injured animals. Previous enforcement and/or dispatch experience desired.  Solid computer skills required and knowledge of Chameleon software helpful.  The work schedule is generally 4x10 or 5x8, subject to business need, and includes one weekend day.  On-call overnight shifts are required as are holiday shifts. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings. Living arrangements within 30 miles of the Shelter due to on-call duties. Animal Care Supervisor
Full Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly  
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for the Animal Care Supervisor opening. Reporting to the Shelter Manager, this position is a full-time working-supervisor job responsible for the daily physical care of animals in the Shelter. Animals in our care generally include cats, dogs, small mammals, exotic pets and barnyard animals. Animal Care Supervisors train and oversee the work of 5 to 10 Animal Care Technicians in the cleaning and disease control protocols for the facility. Supervisors participate in Shelter Team, Shelter Supervisor and Supervisor/Manager meetings and are actively engaged in reviewing work flow and suggesting and implementing improvements. The general work schedule for the position is 5 days per week with one weekend day shift and includes some holidays. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter. Hiring range for the position starts at $11.50 per hour and is negotiable commensurate with experience.

Client Services Representative (Full-time and Part-Time)
Client Services personnel represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client service at the Shelter’s front desk. The job requires great customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Must be able to quickly learn and accurately use specialized software as well as learn and apply a wide range of policies and procedure. Work includes processing animal adoptions, animal returns to owners and animal surrenders as well as physical animal handling and other duties. Client Services positions, both full-time or part-time, generally include at least one weekend shift. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.

Animal Care Technician
Full-Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly   
Animal Care Technicians at Larimer Humane Society are responsible for the daily care of Shelter animals and facilities cleaning. This position involves a significant amount of physical labor. Animals in our care include dogs, cats, small mammals, exotic animals and barnyard animals.  Work shifts for our Animal Care Technicians vary and will include at least one weekend day as the positions provide animal care coverage from 7:00am – 7:30pm Monday – Friday, and 7:00am – 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter. $10.00 per hour.
