Volunteer Program and Humane Education Coordinator
Full Time (40 hrs), Exempt, Salary
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for our Volunteer and Humane Education Coordinator position. The position reports to the Director of Development and Community Relations and is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating all aspects of Larimer Humane Society’s volunteer program to assist in the delivery of the Organization’s programs and services. The position is also responsible for planning and overseeing the design and implementation of the Society’s youth and adult Humane Education programs and for ensuring programs adequately represent the Society’s ideology and policies. Volunteer program work, coordinating our more than 350 volunteers, comprises approximately 75% of position time. Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in volunteer management, education, communications, environmental studies or public relations; a minimum of one year experience coordinating an organization’s volunteer program required (program size of 50+ volunteers preferred). Minimum of one year supervisory experience required. Proven program management, public speaking, training and event planning experience required. Experience using volunteer management software, or comparable data base management software, highly preferred. Experience working with a variety of age groups from children to senior citizens preferred. Experience presenting educational programs in K-12 classrooms a plus. Animal/environmental welfare experience and knowledge of humane education preferred. Applicants must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends as required. Animal Care Supervisor (2 Openings)
2 Full Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for two Animal Care Supervisor openings. Reporting to the Shelter Manager, these positions are full-time working-supervisor jobs responsible for the daily physical care of animals in the Shelter. Animals in our care generally include cats, dogs, small mammals, exotic pets and barnyard animals. Animal Care Supervisors train and oversee the work of 5 to 10 Animal Care Technicians in the cleaning and disease control protocols for the facility. Supervisors participate in Shelter Team, Shelter Supervisor and Supervisor/Manager meetings and are actively engaged in reviewing work flow and suggesting and implementing improvements. The general work schedule for the position is 5 days per week with one weekend day shift and includes some holidays. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter. Hiring range for the position starts at $11.50 per hour and is negotiable commensurate with experience.

Client Services Representative (Full-time and Part-Time)
1 Full-time (40 hrs) and 1 Part-Time (20-25 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Client Services personnel represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client service at the Shelter’s front desk. The job requires great customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Must be able to quickly learn and accurately use specialized software as well as learn and apply a wide range of policies and procedure. Work includes processing animal adoptions, animal returns to owners and animal surrenders as well as physical animal handling and other duties. Client Services positions, both full-time or part-time, generally include at least one weekend shift. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.
