Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for an Animal Care Supervisor. Reporting to the Shelter Manager, this is a full-time, working-supervisor job responsible for the daily physical care of animals in the Shelter. Animals in our care generally include cats, dogs, small mammals, exotic pets and barnyard animals. Animal Care Supervisors train and oversee the work of 5 to 10 Animal Care Technicians in the cleaning and disease control protocols for the facility. Animal Care Supervisors participate in Shelter Team, Shelter Supervisor and Supervisor/Manager meetings and are actively engaged in reviewing work flow and suggesting and implementing improvements. The general work schedule for the position is 5 days per week with one weekend day shift and does include some holidays. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter. 
Hiring rate starts at $13.00 per hour and may be negotiable commensurate with experience.

Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for our Animal Care Technician team. Our Animal Care Technicians are responsible for the daily care of Shelter animals and facilities cleaning.  These positions involve a significant amount of physical labor. Animals in our care include dogs, cats, small mammals, exotic animals, barnyard animals and more. Work shifts vary and generally include at least one weekend day as the positions provide animal care coverage from 7:00am – 7:30pm Monday – Friday, and 7:00am – 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.

$10.15 per hour. Closes when filled.

Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for a Behavior and Evaluation Specialist.  Reporting to the Shelter Manager, this is a full-time position serving as an internal animal behavior and training resource for the Shelter and an external resource for our partners.  The position will design, document and/or implement behavior modification and training programs.  Evaluation and animal enrichment aspects of the job include ensuring shelter animals are behaviorally assessed for adoption, foster, transfer and behavior modification programs.  Works to ensure enrichment needs of shelter animals are being met and performs behavior modification on select animals.  The position is responsible for providing support and training for new team members as well as assisting the Shelter Manager with department operations as needed.  Requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s degree in biology, animal behavior, animal husbandry or comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience.  One year of behavior assessment and enrichment experience required.  Companion animal behavior modification experience strongly preferred.  Proven experience with positive reinforcement training techniques required.  Applicants should possess, or be working toward, CPDT-KSA status and/or Shelter Affiliate status with the IAABC.  Shelter experience preferred.  Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred.  The general work schedule for the position is five days per week with one weekend day shift and some evenings.  Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.  Local candidates preferred as there is no relocation assistance for the position. 

 

Hiring range is $12.20 to $14.20 per hour and may be negotiable commensurate with experience. Closes Oct. 30, 2016 or when filled.

1 Full Time (40 hours), 1 Part Time (20-25 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly Position

Client Services personnel represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client service at the Shelter’s front desk.  The job requires great customer service skills, both in person and over the phone.  Must be able to quickly learn and accurately use specialized software as well as learn and apply a wide range of policies and procedure.  Work includes processing animal adoptions, animal returns to owners and animal surrenders as well as physical animal handling and other duties.  Client Services positions generally include at least one weekend shift.  Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.

Larimer Humane Society is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Events and Development Coordinator. Reporting to the Development Manager, this highly visible position is responsible for project planning and implementation for outstanding fundraising events, direct mail program management and development and management of effective business partnerships. Position requirements include a minimum of two years demonstrated comparable event and project management experience. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated computer skills, attention to detail and a proven ability to multi-task and learn quickly. Raiser's Edge experience highly preferred. Hiring range is in the low to mid-30's and may be negotioable commensurate with experience.

Full Time (40 hours), Exempt, Salaried position

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of IT Analyst.  Reporting to the Director of Operations, this highly visible position is responsible for ensuring that Larimer Humane Society’s servers, personal computers, phone equipment and other IT tools are working to the fullest extent possible.  In addition the position provides various IT related training for employees as well as provides project support for the operations department and leadership team including, but not limited to, data collection and analyses as required.  Please include information regarding availability in cover letter.
