Animal Care Technician
2 Full Time (40 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly positions
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for our Animal Care Technician team. Our Animal Care Technicians are responsible for the daily care of Shelter animals and facilities cleaning. These positions involve a significant amount of physical labor. Animals in our care include dogs, cats, small mammals, exotic animals, barnyard animals and more. Work shifts vary and generally include at least one weekend day as the positions provide animal care coverage from 7:00am – 7:30pm Monday – Friday, and 7:00am – 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for a Behavior and Evaluation Specialist. Reporting to the Shelter Manager, this is a full-time position serving as an internal animal behavior and training resource for the Shelter and an external resource for our partners. The position will design, document and/or implement behavior modification and training programs. Evaluation and animal enrichment aspects of the job include ensuring shelter animals are behaviorally assessed for adoption, foster, transfer and behavior modification programs. Works to ensure enrichment needs of shelter animals are being met and performs behavior modification on select animals. The position is responsible for providing support and training for new team members as well as assisting the Shelter Manager with department operations as needed. Requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s degree in biology, animal behavior, animal husbandry or comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience. One year of behavior assessment and enrichment experience required. Companion animal behavior modification experience strongly preferred. Proven experience with positive reinforcement training techniques required. Applicants should possess, or be working toward, CPDT-KSA status and/or Shelter Affiliate status with the IAABC. Shelter experience preferred. Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred. The general work schedule for the position is five days per week with one weekend day shift and some evenings. Client Services Representative
1 Full Time (40 hours), 1 Part Time (20-25 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly Position
Client Services personnel represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client service at the Shelter’s front desk. The job requires great customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Must be able to quickly learn and accurately use specialized software as well as learn and apply a wide range of policies and procedure. Work includes processing animal adoptions, animal returns to owners and animal surrenders as well as physical animal handling and other duties. Client Services positions generally include at least one weekend shift. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.

Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Coordinator position. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a full-time position responsible for facility maintenance tasks in, and at, the shelter building and any other property owned or operated by Larimer Humane Society. Essential duties include ensuring proper maintenances of the Shelter facilities equipment and grounds. The incumbent performs light carpentry, painting, tiling, routine plumbing, daily janitorial and cleaning tasks, grounds keeping and more. Must have solid computer skills. A high school diploma, or equivalent, plus one year of facility maintenance and project management experience is required. The general work schedule is 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening hours as required.
