Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for a Behavior and Evaluation Specialist. Reporting to the Shelter Manager, this is a full-time position serving as an internal animal behavior and training resource for the Shelter and an external resource for our partners. The position will design, document and/or implement behavior modification and training programs. Evaluation and animal enrichment aspects of the job include ensuring shelter animals are behaviorally assessed for adoption, foster, transfer and behavior modification programs. Works to ensure enrichment needs of shelter animals are being met and performs behavior modification on select animals. The position is responsible for providing support and training for new team members as well as assisting the Shelter Manager with department operations as needed. Requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s degree in biology, animal behavior, animal husbandry or comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience. One year of behavior assessment and enrichment experience required. Companion animal behavior modification experience strongly preferred. Proven experience with positive reinforcement training techniques required. Applicants should possess, or be working toward, CPDT-KSA status and/or Shelter Affiliate status with the IAABC. Shelter experience preferred. Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred. The general work schedule for the position is five days per week with one-weekend day shift and some evenings. Client Services Representative
1 Full Time (40 hours), 1 Part Time (20-25 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly Position
Client Services personnel represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client service at the Shelter’s front desk. The job requires great customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Must be able to quickly learn and accurately use specialized software as well as learn and apply a wide range of policies and procedure. Work includes processing animal adoptions, animal returns to owners and animal surrenders as well as physical animal handling and other duties. Client Services positions generally include at least one weekend shift. Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.

Regular Full-Time (40hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Client Services Supervisor. Our Client Services Supervisors are responsible for the operations of the Service Desk, during a particular shift, ensuring clients receive consistent and high quality services. Services include animal adoptions, intakes, returns and more. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, working supervisor position. Incumbents participate in our Shelter Team and Supervisor/Manager meetings and are engaged in reviewing work flow and suggesting and implementing improvements. Requirements include two years of customer service experience plus one year of proven staff supervisory experience, preferably in an animal related industry, or six months of Larimer Humane Society lead experience. This position includes daily interaction with animals in our care. The schedule for this position will include at least one weekend day. Regular Full Time (40 hours), Exempt, Salaried
Larimer Humane Society is searching for qualified applicants for the position of Information Technology Analyst. This position is a one-person IT department responsible for the ensuring that Larimer Humane Society’s servers, personal computers, phone equipment and other IT equipment are working to the fullest extent possible. In addition the position provides various IT related training for employees as well as provides project support for the operations department and leadership team including, but not limited to, data collection and analyses as required. Essential duty areas include: database and system administration and management; IT policies and procedures; software applications; technical assistance to staff regarding computer and software use; installing and configuring software, hardware and peripheral devices; vendor relationships and more. Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Coordinator position. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a full-time position responsible for facility maintenance tasks in, and at, the shelter building and any other property owned or operated by Larimer Humane Society. Essential duties include ensuring proper maintenance of the Shelter facilities equipment and grounds. The incumbent performs light carpentry, painting, tiling, routine plumbing, daily janitorial and cleaning tasks, grounds keeping and more. Must have solid computer skills. A high school diploma, or equivalent, plus one year of facility maintenance and project management experience is required. The general work schedule is 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening hours as required. Part Time (20 - 25 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly position
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for a part time Veterinary Technician position. Our Veterinary Technicians provide clinical and administrative support for the Shelter’s Veterinary Services department. Major responsibilities include assisting with the surgical program including induction and intubation of surgery patients; maintaining accurate records; performing basic animal assessment and triage; administering treatment and medications as needed; performing dental cleanings and more. The position requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years previous work experience in a veterinary clinic and/or animal shelter clinic. Surgical assistance and proficiency with intubation, IV catheter placement and IV injection techniques is also required. This is a part-time position with a PTO (paid time off) accrual benefit.
