We adopted Bella (you called her “Sabina”) from the shelter in March 2008. We lost our 19-year-old cat six months previously and were looking to fill the void in our lives. Thank you for taking such good care of Bella for us! She is an active, inquisitive cat who makes us laugh every day with her little idiosyncrasies. She enjoys curling up in our laps, pouncing on toy mice, chasing crinkle balls and wrestling with anything with catnip in it. She loves attention and demands we give it to her! We love her very much and wonder how we ever got along without her. Thanks again.

Pet of the Week: Meet Rabbit
Hello, my name is Rabbit (A301197). I am a neutered male black manx about 2 years old. I have been at the shelter waiting for my new home since October 23. My personality is pretty awesome; I am smart, active, playful and talkative. I enjoy playing with string toys and you’d better watch your toes! I do tricks for treats and I like having cuddle time with people. My foster home trained me to accept a harness and leash so perhaps a short stroll would be nice! One cute thing that I do is give hugs and in return you can pet my head and scratch under my chin. I enjoy running around the house to play but I do not like loud noises. Early Holiday Shopping to Help Shelter Cats
Are you looking to get started on your holiday shopping and want to help homeless cats and kittens at the same time? You can give the gift of comfort and enrichment by purchasing a cat Kuranda bed or a cat scratching post for the animals in our care. Simply visit Kuranda's donate a bed page and follow instructions to locate Larimer Humane Society's wish list. Your purchase will be shipped directly to the shelter! If you would like to donate a cat scratcher so that our cats and kittens can get exercise and stretch in their kennels visit Stretch and Scratch where you can purchase scratchers and deliver them to the shelter. The cats and kittens thank you for your generosity so they can rest comfortably and enjoy their time while in our care.
Car Wash Raises Over $4K for Shelter Animals
On September 29th John Agnew and Andrea Agnew, owners of Breeze Thru Car Wash, presented Larimer Humane Society Executive Director Judy Calhoun with a check for over $4,200 raised during the “Breeze-a-thon” benefit car wash held on September 19th. 100% of the proceeds from September 19th are being donated to the humane society.
Breeze Thru Car Wash is located at 1171 E. Mulberry Road in Fort Collins (southeast corner of Lemay Avenue and Mulberry Street).
